F.L.I. Brightwater is an
experienced and innovative process specialist with full contracting
capability. Founded in 1990 the company is well established as a
respected process contractor specialising in high efficiency, small
footprint processes to maximise return from the investment in effluent
treatment. The experience of the company in the field of sewage
treatment contracting includes schemes serving populations up to about
500,000, meeting a range of target effluent qualities from 40/60
(BOD/SS) to 5/5/1 (BOD/SS/NH3-N).
The company has built a track record
of successful collaboration with main contractors, design consultants
and clients for the successful completion of contracts covering a broad
range of processes for the treatment of sewage, industrial wastes,
water and sludges in both the municipal and industrial sectors.
F.L.I. Brightwater‘s main field of operation is as a specialist process
plant contractor, acting as a main contractor on process-led or M &
E schemes, or as a partner with main contractors and others on larger
and civil engineering led contracts. The company has built a reputation
for technical innovation and for successful completion of contracts to
time, cost and specification and dealing with issues as they arise in a
constructive and non confrontational way.
F.L.I. Brightwater, a wholly owned subsidiary of F.L.I. Environmental,
retains a style of operation that enables flexibility of operation and
maximum responsiveness, and to compliment these attributes it operates
an ISO 9001 approved quality system along with effective Health & Safety practices, which have
greatly assisted in its continuing drive to achieve all round
excellence in all aspects of its operation.
Municipal Sector
In the municipal sector F.L.I. Brightwater has developed a style of
working closely with Water PLC‘s and general consultants at scheme
appraisal stage and with contractors at tender stage where the company
has developed innovative and cost saving approaches that have led to
the successful award of contracts. F.L.I. Brightwater maintains a broad
technical capability in-house, which encompasses most forms of primary,
secondary and tertiary sewage treatment, and a range of sludge
treatment processes as well as those for water treatment and industrial
effluent treatment.
F.L.I. Brightwater's pilot scale and laboratory facilities are used for
client specific studies as well as our own on-going R & D
programme. The company has developed and introduced a range of new
processes for primary, secondary and tertiary treatment of sewage,
based on the use of floating plastic media as a filter and/ or support
for biomass growth. The Biobead® BAFF process is a
product of this development programme and is well established as one of
the leading BAFF systems in the UK.
Industrial Sector
F.L.I. Brightwater offers a full range of innovative processes, both
biological and physico-chemical, to solve most industrial effluent
treatment problems. With over 15 years of experience in designing,
supplying, installing and commissioning effluent treatment plants of
all types, F.L.I. Brighwater has both the experience and problem
solving capabilities to assist any company with their effluent
treatment needs.
Site Services
Through extensive experience in the water and wastewater treatment
sectors, F.L.I. Brightwater provides a complete service covering
process selection, detailed design and operation of a broad spectrum of
treatment technologies available to the industry. In order to carry out
these functions F.L.I. Brightwater provides in-house expertise that
cover a range of physical, chemical and biochemical processes utilised
over a range of treatment technologies. F.L.I. Brightwater provides
process & engineering
services to support clients in the areas of Process Upgrade, Process
Optimisation, Remote Monitoring and Operational Support including
